Area Service Manager

My client currently has an opening for the position of Area Service Manager in Houston, TX. This will be a field-based position with 40% travel for a large company.
Job Description
-
Aggressively sell and negotiate service contracts to win business

Manage contract compliance with applicable Federal, State, and Local laws, including Regulatory laws

Build and coach effective local customer teams

Coach Customer Engineers to effectively deliver customer solutions

Determine Area’s technical training requirements and implement plans to achieve customer satisfaction and technical competence

Make routine visits to medical facilities
-
Plan for the acquisition and effective utilization of company assets
-
Team with Sales personnel to win business and resolve customer issues
-
Provide Sales support such as lead referral
-
Ensure that the requirements of compliance and all safety programs are completed
Qualifications
-
Four-year degree required
-
At least 2 years of management experience
-
At least 5 years of experience in a high-tech service organization (preferably in medical imaging), at least 3 of which are field-based
-
Good knowledge of business practices and procedures
-
Functional computer skills including spreadsheets and their applications, databases, Internet
-
Ability to use tact and diplomacy to develop and maintain internal and external relationships
Compensation and Benefits
-
Base compensation will be around $130,000 and up to 20% bonus
-
